After getting Lost in Alamagordo, NM we found Long John Silvers. New Mexico was bigger than we thought it was. We enjoyed much of the desolation of NM along Hwy 54 ... and even saw some snow along the way.

If you like brown, NM is beautiful.
You passed through my hometown if you happened upon Alamogordo (Alamo to those of use who grew up nearby) on Hwy 54 - Carrizozo NM. Beg to differ w/ Shannon, however; NM truly is the land of enchantment and abounds in scenic wonder - it just helps to know where to look!
